From 15 April 2019, the state promulgated the ‘electric bicycle safety technical specification’ mandatory provisions, which represents a new era of electric vehicles is coming. After this, the electric car must comply with the provisions of the new national standard in order to sell, then what is the new national standard electric car? The country is divided into three categories

1. Electric bicycle: This category refers to the electric bicycle that meets the 3C certification and the new national standard, and the speed should be lower than 25KM/h, and the body weight should not exceed 55kg, the battery should not exceed 48V, and there must be a pedal function.
2. Electric moped: this category belongs to the motor vehicle, also to comply with the three C certification, as well as the new national standard moped. However, its speed cannot exceed 50KM/h. There is no limitation on its weight and battery voltage, and it cannot carry adults, but it can carry children under 1.2 metres.
3. Electric motorbike: this category still belongs to the motor vehicle, but also to comply with the three C certificate and the new national standard motorbike, its speed can be 50KM / h, can carry an adult, for its weight and battery voltage is not limited.
Then after 15 April 2019, what is the difference between these three electric vehicles? Let's talk about the e-bike first, the e-bike is a smart electronic licence. It is not necessary for you to take a driving licence, and it is directly licensed locally, that is, the green licence, and the second electric moped. This one of you on the licence is required to have a driving licence, that is to say, you need to take a test f license, in order to apply for a licence, this type of licence is a blue plate. The third is the electric motorbike. This and the electric moped is no difference, still need to E test certificate, just you on the licence is yellow.
Then some people will ask, how about the car bought before 15 April 2019, how can you get a licence? If you say you bought your car before this date, then you are lucky enough not to need to go for the f licence as well as the E licence. If you bought your car before this date, you only need to bring the certificate of conformity and the receipt, as well as your ID card, and you can go directly to the branch to apply for a licence. The licence is yellow. Basically, submit the information to check a car can be licensed. However, it is only a transitional period of three years, the licence is valid until March 2023, after which you may not be able to see the existence of electric vehicles motorbikes and mopeds.
In any case, the state is also for our safety considerations before the next countermeasures, no matter what kind of electric car you must comply with traffic regulations, so that it is really convenient to travel, rather than a hidden danger!
